Couched In

The last few weeks have been the busiest I've had to endure in a long time. All aspects of my life were in upheaval. At home, we were packing up our old apartment, while painting, decorating and settling into our new condo. At work, I was transitioning out of my old job and into a new one, and at the same time participating in the company move to a new office building. And, on the school front, I was trying to push onto the next phase of my thesis paper.

So, last night after weeks of go-go-go, all I wanted was a night curled up on the sofa under a cozy blanket.

Now, a date on the couch is not complete without a snack. So, before settling in, I pulled out my trusty airpop popcorn maker (the most used gadget in my pantry) and made a heaping bowl of the crunchy treat.

Popcorn is my ultimate snack food. It's light and airy and you can add whatever topping your palate so desires. My favourite combo, and the one I chose last night, uses a little bit of butter, kosher salt and cayenne pepper.

Finally, home, sweet home.
